I have always loved the feel of fine leather and am intrigued by it as a sculptural medium. For me, creating mythic creatures from materials that have had a previous life is ultimately appropriate. I honor the stories embedded in the materials, be they leather, stone, old textiles, or beads, and honor the sources. May they encourage your sense of adventure and the creation and sharing of story.

Thank you to everyone who attended the Northampton Paradise City Arts Festival over Memorial Day Weekend and stopped by my booth . Kanyini, the platypus, enjoyed meeting you. It was wonderful to see so many friends... and to be in such a creative environment with such positive, creative energy - a much-needed respite for both artists and attendees alike! I came away with ideas for new work as well as renewed energy to stand up and oppose all the negative forces blocking creativity and understanding. Have a grea summer... I'll be busy in studio and making stubborn ounces count in the street
